| - PASARELAS (BOARDWALKS) |
Description: Depart from our Hostería in our own vehicle and arrival to the observatory in front of the Perito Moreno Glaciar. The passages are composed by 7 balconies to different height and distance from the Glaciar, connected by stepped paths that allow to walk with different grade of exigence and duration. From the higher balcony you can look at the great part of the glaciar, its north face of the surface, going down a little we find the second balcony, nearer to the ice. In this place, where in occasions the ice dam is formed. The nearest point to the glacier is the inferior balcony, to seven hundred meters from the parking. The return of the Hostería is also in one of our vehicle.
Alternative: the boardwalks are situated at only 7 km from the Hostería. It is probable to do the run on foot, go or return. The duration of the promenade is 1,15 hrs. Aprox. |
| - NAUTICAL SAFARI |
Description: The catamaran promenade from the Puerto Bajo de las Sombras, located just 1 km. from the Hostería. You navigate during one tour in front of the South face of the Perito Moreno |
| - MINITREKKING ON THE PERITO MORENO GLACIER |
Description: Departure in ship from the Puerto Bajo de las Sombras located 1 km from the Hostería, to disembark in the opposite cost of the Brazo Rico. Alter of a short promenade in the forest you arrive to the edge of the Glacier, where the guides Hill put cramps in your shoes. The promenade on ice lasts aprox 1.30 hrs, always accompanied by specialists guides. Afterwards you return to the shelter to lunch the "viands" given by the Hostería and finally return trip by ship passing very close to the south face of the Perito Moreno Glacier to observe possible landslides .
Observations: changes and cancellations are possible till 17 hrs. of the previous day. The afternoon turns do not take lunch. |
| - SENDERO DE LA COSTA - PATH OF THE COST |
Description: Transfer from the Hostería in our vehicles till the sectional Moreno of Nacional Parks.The paths goes along the Canal de los Tempanos, going up by the cost and crossing the forest. You arrive to different natural observatories, that let you watch the north wall of the Glacier and its proximity to the peninsula. The final destination are the gangplanks.
Observations: The promenade must be done with a qualified guide or a representative of the Nacional Park. The path is closed on rainy days. |
| - LA HUELLA |
Description: At 400 Mts.from the Hostería begins the footpath that goes up slowly. It is an old road of the extraction of firewood. You cross the forest, and go along the abandoned huts of the woodman, until the arrival to a natural observatory of the Perito Moreno Glacier and of the Brazo Rico and the South of the Lago Argentino |
| - CORRENTOSO STREAM |
Description: At 400 Mts.from the Hostería begins the footpath that goes up slowly crossing the forest.Alter 15 minutes of walking you take a wild and narrow path. The vegetation alternates between lengas woods and shrubs of notros and calafate. From the path you can watch Brazo Rico and Brazo Sur, The Bahía Escondida, The Roca Lake and the Perito Moreno Glacier. You descend going along the Correntoso Stream until the edge of the lake. Walking by the cost you return to the Hostería.. |
| - TREKKING TO THE TOP OF THE CATTLE MOUNT |
Description: The Cattle Mount has a height of 1450 Mts. And from its summit you can discover a spectacular view of the ice tongue of the Perito Moreno Glacier. It is one of the few points where you will be able to watch the complete front of the glacier, as its south side as its north one. You leave from the Hostería by the slope of the mount crossing the totally virgin forest where there are a lot of lengas, cherry, notros and calafates.
The last section is a zone without any vegetation, where the constant patagonic wind gets difficult the ascension. On the top you will be able to appreciate going down from the Pietrobelli Mount and the Brazo Rico and South of the Argentino Lake..
Varyings: the last hour from the ascension is very strict, you can choose for going up only till the Canadon de los Condores. It is also a very good panoramic point. The duration of the walk is in this case 4 hours. |

Description: Once arrived to the path, the Land Rover vehicles, get into virgin paths for riding through the patagonic fields. You visit the Moreno Peninsula, located between the Brazo Rico of the Argentino Lake and the Roca Lake. The excursion is with qualified guides, ideal for bird fauna and flora watching. You have lunch in open air ( grill beefs sandwiches) |
| - TE EN LAS NUBES (Te towards the Clouds) |
Description: At 400 mts from the Hostería, our Land Rovers vehicles, take an ascending path offering you excellent views of the Glacier, the Brazo Rico and you will enjoy the patagonian andinian forest. The final destination is a natual flanked by the autochthonous forest, where you will watch the Brazo Sur and the Brazo Rico of the Argentino Lake, south wall and part of the tongue of the Perito Moreno Glacier and mounts that are around the Glacier. From there you can choose for ascend on foot to the last elevation, very pronounced of 200 mts.
Observation: Alter strong rains the road remains temporally closed. |
